Our Amazing Luton Foodbank Efforts
What a way to end Spring Term 1! With some routine fundraising. However, the number of tins collected in the last week of half term was anything but ordinary, the amount was outstanding. With your fabulous donations, we collected almost 11,000 tins for Luton Foodbank. A testament of the levels of generosity from Challney students and staff. In fact, the achievement was so amazing that our work was published in the Herald & Post. We were set a target of 1,238 tins, the amount collected by Denbigh. We managed to beat that target by almost 9-fold.
Well done to Akeman who won the overall house competition, but the other three houses work cannot be put in vein, everyone did an outstanding job. Congratulations to Fosse 1 who collected almost 1,500 tins on their own, winning the Spicy Chicken reward.
With our Luton Foodbank event and success in Comic Relief, this term has certainly been a very charitable one.
