  • Friday 5 January 2024 OFSTED: 'Outstanding' in all Areas Challney High School for Boys welcomed the Ofsted inspection team at the beginning of November, for a full Section 5 inspection. The report has now been published and shared with the school and confirms that we remain 'Outstanding' in all areas. This is particularly pleasing given that only 28% of schools nationally have retained their Outstanding judgement under the new framework.

  • Thursday 24 August 2023 GCSE celebrations at Challney High School for Boys Students at Challney High School for Boys have lots to celebrate after receiving another fantastic set of outcomes in their 2023 GCSE results.
  • Sunday 22 January 2023 RAG Bag Donations at Challney Miss Islams @WCA_education,RAG BAG textile recycling scheme going strong. Lots of donations have been made by students and staff already. Challney boys have received their donation bank which is located in the car park. Posters were created by year 7 and 8 students to encourage their fellow peers and staff to make donations. All donations go towards a good cause.

  • Friday 24 June 2022 'Apps for Good' Peoples Choice winners! We, the Computing Department, could not be prouder of our team of youngYear 8 innovators – Hasnain, Mahdi, Sohidul and Humza, who had the brilliantidea of creating an App, which helps users track their carbon emissions.Deservedly, they won the Apps for Good People’s Choice Award by a whopping5000+ votes, with sheer determination, enthusiasm and resilience. A hugewell done to the boys! Thanks to everyone that cast a vote for teamCarbonGPS, as it made a huge difference in winning the Award!

  • Friday 15 October 2021 Another Outstanding Y6 Open Evening Thank you to everyone who attended our Open Evening event on Thursday 14th October. It was an incredible night showcasing all departments. The evening had a plethora of activities and experiences on offer including exciting science experiments, the chance to use state of the art PE equipment and live performances of Shakespeare's works on our very own Verona balcony in great costumes. Thank you once again for attending and we look forward to seeing youagain soon!

  • Thursday 30 September 2021 Project 822 Launches with Parents This evening saw the exciting launch of 'Project 822' as we invited Year 11 parents into school to explore a range of topics focused on supporting their childto prepare for his GCSE exams. We were simply overwhelmed by the parent support shown and clear unwavoring support for the project. Over 130 parents took time out of their schedules to attend one of two session offered - Thursday 30th September.

We are keeping in touch with a very few individual students who are self-isolating and we will continue to support them with their remote learning.
  • Monday 28 September 2020 COVID 19 Update - Monday 28th September 2020 We were pleased to welcome our two Year 7 groups, who had been self-isolating, back to school on Thursday last week, and this morning we were delighted to welcome back our Year 11 students who had also been self-isolating. I am pleased to say that, at the moment, no groups of students are required to self-isolate and all year groups are in school.
